Asia Contemporary Art Show Hong Kong 2018 Fall Edition

“Art is the proper task of life. ”
― Friedrich Nietzsche

As one of the leading sponsors of the Asia Contemporary Art show, Macey & Sons (now in its 5th year) are always excited to showcase our diverse portfolio of investment art and collectibles. Every piece is carefully chosen from the Masters through to contemporary artist, they have that certain Je ne sais quoi? Offering not just ROI but passion and culture to your investment portfolio.

Find Macey & Sons in rooms 4026 and 4226 at the Asia Contemporary Art Show this year. Showcase a fine selection of post-war Japanese art including the eminent Japanese artist Imaï Toshimitsu in room 4226. Australian artist Shazia Imran and Francesco Lietti, Italy, Mitchell Schorr, New York and Chinese contemporary artist Chow Chi Shen in room 4026.

We are always happy to exhibit Imaï Toshimitsu. This year we have momentous works by Imaï prior to his Ka-Cho-Fu-Getsu series. A heavy ‘ultra-complex structure’ notably contrasted to his later gentle and romantic sensitivity.

Shazia Imran won Lorenzo il Magnifico Award in the 2015 Florence Biennale and has just been selected for two paintings for Chianciano Biennale at the Art Museum Chianciano, Italy. Shazia’s works encompass the peace and harmony. The key figure of her expression being human connection with landscape, memory and the subconscious.

Francesco Lietti paints very vibrant and colourful visions. His paintings have a humorous quality, describing many cities with caricatured magnificence, giving his works dream-like, ephemeral quality.

Mitchell Schorr premiered in Asia 2015 in ‘Da Race to the East” series. Schorr is probably the best known urban mural painter in the world and has been painting 3-D murals for over a decade. Schorr envelops himself in motion and urban subjects which we can all relate to here in Hong Kong.

Finally, Chow Chi Shen who translates the beauties of nature with childlike simplicity, restoring life to the real world.
