May Auction Spirit

On Wednesday 30th June, Macey & Sons saw its May Auction on an International scale as the auction streamed live on the-saleroom.com with bids coming in from all over the world. Some countries including Venezuela, England, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia and Japan.

In collaboration with Duke’s Auctioneers and the-salesroom.com, Jonathon Macey, founder and CEO of Macey & Sons Auctioneers and Valuers Ltd, tag-teamed with celebrity auctioneer Lee Young in orchestrating the rostrum. Auctioning 276 lots of jewellery, jade, antiques, handbags, whisky and art with a few last minute additional lots including ever-so-elegant Swiss watches by Lonville.

The stars of the show proved to be the eight lots of Japanese whisky with online and in-house bids firing like rapid-fire battling for Karuizawa and Yamazaki. The 'Karuizawa 33 Year Old Emerald Geisha' estimated at HK$12,000 - $15,000 fetched a staggering HK$40,000, the 'Karuizawa 35 Year Old Emerald Geisha' sold for HK$43,000.

In spirit of Japanese whisky, we give esteem to the subject in creating this artistic representation. Filmed in our office in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong. Stay tuned for details of the next auction...
