Founder & CEO
Jonathan Macey has been involved in art, collectibles, auctions and events for over 30 years. Following in the footsteps of his father, Macey started at Phillips Auctioneers where he developed his skills, experience, nurturing his contacts and developed his network in the field.
In 2012, Jonathan founded Macey & Sons Auctioneers and Valuers Limited in Hong Kong and has been diligently expanding their investable assets to offer a greater variety of alternative investment options for clients.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Terry Ma manages a selection of Macey & Sons’ VIP clients, advising them on their investment portfolios and in-market updates.
Ever since he was small, he loved visiting galleries with his family and this spurred him to start his art collection, both for personal interest and investment.
He also regularly gives back to the community by speaking at several high profile events such as Hang Seng Bank and Longines Hong Kong.
Garth Grierson has been involved with Macey & Sons from the very beginning. Originally starting his career in teaching and later being appointed as an International School Headmaster.
In 2002, he was introduced to the exciting world of art and treasured artefacts by Jonathan Macey. Later in 2012, he moved to Hong Kong and started helping to develop the Macey & Sons company.
Through being introduced to the industry, he became an avid collector of art and collectibles.
